This isn't a dating sim, it's a (mostly)linear story with an intended beginning, middle and end. It's not a fault of the game that the developer is doing what he intended the whole time and you don't fuck with it. It might be a problem if it isn't well executed, and yeah I don't think the game does much to make Suselle compelling. If you do all of that correctly, you'll have enough health and points left to defend the statue during the final round, which will easily net you an S-Rank. For the T-Rank, do all of that but perfectly and kill a max of 800 Shadowguys during the final round.
