Intervallo was strange.I don't particulary mind Kim's personality, I actually find it quite funny, but the scenes with him felt like they dragged quite a bit. I do enjoy his backstory and the S corp lore, before this canto I wasn't that interested in that part of the city.Meursault was really good, I like Meursault, and it is nice to see more of him, that ending also got me pretty excited about his Canto.Something I did not fancy was how we started already on the N-Corp backstreets, I enjoy when the sinners travel on the bus and reach their destination, I hope we get some of that kind of scenes in Canto X once they enter N-Corp proper.The boss was good, great music and design, she sort of reminds me of a Muramasa character. But the dungeon was so bloody boring, blimey, not even the events were than interesting.Overall, it is not a bad intervallo, but it is not great, the last two intervallos were great, so this one feels sort of out of place.

Nothing was contradicted by the intervallo, and he's still showing this part of his character. The lazy funnyman schtick was played up to cover his trauma, but it is also part of his normal self to a degree as seen in his backstory. This is called a character having multiple facets, and that is a good thing. The alternative is being 1 dimensional and 1 gimmick.

I wasn't feeling that intervalo unfortunately. I feel like I could see the hand of the author too much at the end, the way the plot concluded didn't feel natural. Director wanted an intervalo focused on kim and n corp at the same time so he introduced this sorta random distortion guy who's focused around projections (n corp) who also shows memories (so we can get kim lore), which is a good linking idea in theory.But he also clearly didn't actually care about or think up much for the distortion guy himself, since he was just a plot device to service those two other thingsThe absolute bare minimum 3 second cutscene they gave the original distortion guy at the end felt so cursory that it was meaningless, and the cherry on top of the boss from his fathoms walking out and instantly killing him? That just felt like the hand of the author going "this plot device served what I wanted, I'm erasing it now"

Honestly, I think my biggest complaints with this intervallo would go away if we had 40% more spectacle. I like the combat gimmick of switching between two enemy sets, but it really didn't matter. Kim's wife was a disappointing boss, and the assist unit skills didn't get to shine like in canto 9. Kim's big moment (forma day efflorescence) is in a cutscene with a lacking animation. The ego doesn't look any different from normal bhk.I really don't mind Kim's personality, but it feels like he's sidelined even here. The Kim and friends ft s corp parts im more conflicted in how to feel because for all intents and purposes this is an introduction to bhk and i know why khj did it, but feels like for what it was done on this intervallo is an awkward part 1 of a canto
