In Golden, I like the winter semester, but I hate specifically how the epilogue changes the pacing and tone of the ending cutscene.I don't remember the exact flow of the winter semester, but does unlocking the winter months automatically lock you into completing the Marie dungeon, thus locking you out of the original P4 true ending and into the Golden ending, or is there a way to start the winter months and then steer off the Marie dungeon just in time to get the original true ending? I don't hate Marie. But I don't like her enough to give up my beautifully directed emotional farewell credit roll into Nevermore and have to deal with the gang talking for an extra 30 minutes about how Kanji is wearing glasses now and Naoto wears tanktops. I should probably just emulate the original instead. It looks better anyway.

And if anything, that's more likely to be monetized to hell and back because it's going to be more popular and have a longer lifespan. Reload wasn't even that heavily monetized desu. It has one expansion pack and a couple of cosmetics, some of which were pre-order bonuses IIRC. And the expansion pack in question was developed after the main game had already been finished due to positive fan feedback. Compared to what even Capcom does with their remakes, Reload had relatively fair monetization. So unless they're gonna shit the bed later, I doubt it's going to be worse than Reload. They probably just want it to be done and over with so they can devote all their resources to future projects and P6. (I'm hoping we get at least one DLC though. I don't know where it might fit on the calendar, but Persona 4 left a lot of loose ends with its cast that P3 didn't).
I'm hoping Persona 4 Revival gives us a new wave of Chie foot fetish art, as well as all the other P4 girls too.

I love the simplicity of P3 compared to later games, especially P5. You go to Tartarsauce, you grind through 300 floors, that's it. The game's beat. P4 has separate dungeons for each arc, so that feeling of actively working towards a single goal from the start of the game is lost. P5 has palaces and Mementos, the former of which is relatively more complex and requires puzzle-solving, breaks to send out calling cards, grappling, sitting through lots of cutscenes, etc. Mementos is far more comparable, but being able to crush monsters with the party wagon makes every floor feel less lethal. It's just a straight JRPG without action-adventure elements.

Ive spent a good amount of times playing SMT games that have tons of random encounters from SMT I, II, Nocturne, DDS, Soul Hackers 1 and i think what separates them with P2 (the only oldsona i have touched) is that the transition between getting the encounter and be on the battle is much faster than P2. It's just funny looking at P2's encounter where your screen suddenly flashes for a couple of seconds, still needs a loading bar for a couple of seconds to generate the enemies and the UI that also takes a couple of seconds. If they ever port this to Steam I hope they solve the issue. Also I'm not a fond of how you setup your attacking plan (UI problem maybe). Fucking SMT1 is already so streamlined with do you want to fight or talk, if you fight you can auto with your previous instruction.
