The most low-effort, but still effective, solution is for everyone to bring strafing run and keep chucking strafing runs at the thing whenever it shows up. The AC mech also does good damage agianst the lord, and the AC mech is also very useful within the caves. Just keep throwing strafing runs at the hive lord until one of the armor plates cracks and then concentrate all firepower on that singular segment's fleshy bits.

C4 and utlimatum are effective if you can get within throwing range. NEATs can potentially obliterate the fuck, but it's a bit RNG. Solo silo can one shot them. The epoch is ok at killing them.
