And that's also a trim idea, "Beat a run Etchspace without suppressing any buffs". Endfield is on the verge of being so good so often but always falls short and it's such a shame. Maybe one day its potential will be realised

Make character quests/bonding optional, keep the story concise and well paced. You can still have the farming aura moments in the main story. Combat system is pretty broken, having team-wide buffs like "increase damage" was a mistake because it immediately became "stack buffs, use any arts ultimate, one shot boss", it could have had more depth focusing on the infliction/reaction system more instead but right now it's largely an excuse to find another global damage multiplier. I don't know how you fix it as this point other than having a "buffs cannot be applied to your team" modifier in future content. Which again is a shame because I think the fundamental combat system feels really good, it's just the implimentation of stat buffs that breaks it
ZZZ held my attention for longer than Endfield did. Still a shit game, but at least it delivered on the core it set out to do, combat is good, fluid, and there is lots of it. Story is upbeat tripe as they always planned. Character designs are censored but haven't deviated too far from the base.Endfield on the other hand has been aimless right from the get go, they already changed from ATB to real-time combat in alpha, and the factory which is supposed to be the core aspect of the game is a quickly solved puzzle that you remedy within 10 minutes of the patch drop, and has zero retention plan for anybody returning to the game. And the side modes are both trivial and boring.The final fucking death knell is being spin-off/sequel game that is LESS popular than the main one. A trait this game currently shares with another failed gacha, Shadowverse 2.Yes, it has not even been a year, but this game is desperately in need of a revamp.
