Rella's title of Saint was given to her due to her clerigal duties rather than the fact she saved a shitton of people from the Academy from dying. Most NPCs that mention the Academy don't seem to mention THAT event in specific happening and mostly go "the mage academy was so cool, shame that it closed down" unless I've missed some.But even in Rella's own boss fight, most people wouldn't even know why can she even control Sogne at all unless they look at that specific entry of events that happened in the past and are never showcased by the game.So my wonder is how exactly should I interpret the whole course of events surrounding the Academy? It took a stupidly long amount of time to figure this out, but as of now I've got something working for both entirely custom battle arenas AND collision on totally custom objects which solves both the custom NPC and the new objects on maps crisis. This is an initial test after a breakthrough so I'm not properly boxed in and can fall out the sides, but this is pushing what can be done with a single object to the absolute limit. Getting this map in the game wasn't easy either because while souls modding is more robust than persona/metaphor modding by a lot, that community still somehow doesn't have a good way to get all the model data into a standard format without fucking the materials sideways, so I had to remake most of those using DSMapStudio as a reference point since it can render all this shit in seconds but apparently can't dump anything into an fbx or something. There's still at least a year before I have to worry about this version of the game getting deprecated plus they're making it look like they want to release a big paid update on all the platforms instead of a totally new version of the game which would make life much easier, so I hope they do that.

Few things I wanted to bring up before I go back in the hole.Archdemon Will is past 10k downloads which is nuts and way way more than I ever expected it to get. Thanks to anyone who downloaded it.On top of that the reduced Gallica voice lines mod I basically made in the span of an hour one day is somehow past 6k downloads. idk why anyone really thought that was worth a 500mb download but that's also very welcome.The next thing I will put out will probably be some kind of a rebalance that will also be used by my high replay mod and I will put in a cool weapon or some shit you get for beating the game on it. Porting various things from P4R to Metaphor is likely. By the time P6 comes out we might have our new content already and if not the following year but I suspect I'll do the same thing with P6 assuming Atlus doesn't on their own. P6 would have to have an extremely strong base to work off of for me to ever even think of switching so I doubt that will happen.
Also keeping in with the recent persona theme, I didn't even bother to check this after metaphor came out, but the recent releases of GFDStudio all support the 2015 build test models from P5, including the sample player model for the backpacking in the desert concept that eventually turned into metaphor. Everyone already knows it's a partially remodeled instance of Johnny from Catherine, but something I haven't seen mentioned before is how the dev team was considering doing a transparent effect on character hair in P5 that didn't move forward. The "beta" Joker model from the apartment complex era of pre-production doesn't even have this. The hair is separated into multiple meshes and the materials on the bangs are drawn with a transparency effect that can partially be seen here. Would've made sense for hair that goes over or obscures the eyes.
