How important is 20 in your casting stat at level 1 for the 2/3 casters like Bard, Magus or Hunter? Specifically thinking of Bard since I think Magus would want it for other reasons (ac ramp) while for Bard or hunter it's just casting basically. Conventional wisdom is more spells>anything but starting with 20 Cha is seriously cutting into my combat stats which I feel like should be at least decent (going dex over strength because I want to be a dex granting race I think for reasons unrelated to stat optimization)

Edwin (Cheaty Amulet, "Best" Spec school) and Anomen (Basically dualed like he's another main character) are very strong too. Nok-Nok and Jubilost in Kingmaker. Ekun is real good too. WotR is odd since it's so damned flexible that you can argue most powerful ones are just whomever you get earliest so you can shape them. But I'd probably say Sosiel is the most powerful party member in a vacuum simply because he's already set up to be your domain guy and Community, Nobility, etc. domain spam is just that strong. Cassia and Pre-nerf Kibbles are the standouts from RT. I haven't played enough DOS2 to really say for it. BG3 wise full respec means that the specific party member barely matters. For PoE I'd say Hiravias for full caster plus the best Druid shape. Pallegina is also great thanks to a very good unique Paladin order. Priest is the best class in the game, but Durance set up awkwardly stat wise which lets him down.For Deadfire I'd say Teheku and Xoti. Teheku is the easy "fuck up the screen with spells" guy and Xoti being a priest gives you Salvation of Time and Barring Death's Door which are often the gateway to breaking the game. Plus Symbol of Eothas is great. That's stuff isn't really Xoti specific though.
