Garen is an example of champ that is easy enough to play but his kit is surprisingly and dumbly overloaded. There are simple champs that have more weaknesses but strong if played well, and that's how it should be.I will never agree with "Simple champ so you shouldn't climb on that", but I do think if the champ is overloaded than it's a bit dishonest to climb on that.
