Hello i'd like to ask a question. How do i approach making tiles both for visual and collision in godot? I couldn't come up with a better solution without duplicating the same tiles, because some of the stuff is literally for visual and some other stuff is for collision. I'd love any single bit of help, no tutorial covers this they just put collision layer and be done with it. But they never use the same tile for not colliding purposes. ESL so forgive my dutch.

I have one layer called Detail, this is always drawn above the player (like the top of the chest or bed). Ground always drawn under the player. Then an invisible collision layer.

I'm assuming you're using TileMapLayers so if you're still using TileMap or something else this may not apply. On your tileset, for your stair tiles, if you only want a portion of the tile to have physics applied to it that is fine. Create a physics layer, select your tile, and you'll have the ability to modify the physics layer polygon that overlays your tile. Reform the polygon so it's only on the top of the tile and you' should still be able to pass through the area under it.

i dont understand why you dont get it at all. if i use the same collision tile, character cant go up or down the invisible slope. the stairs are blocked and i have to draw more and more stair tiles to differ which ones they can walk. i have 5 tiles for now, 3 of them are collision BUT they are also used in decoration where character has to walk upwards or downwards. If i don't duplicate all of the stair tiles (or those 3 especially) character cant move through them. I use tilemaplayer too.

Reworked food consumption, crew members now aim to eat 2 meals a day, preferring savoury meals, and trying to have 2 different ones. If the second meal is not different, it does not restore health.
Did a little bit of work on UI "scaling" , I hope I can get away with not doing too much here. There will be a lot of info on the screen on higher res, and probably as a player that is exactly what you want. On lower res it’s "playable" but gonna be annoying with larger game states.

Now, the default page is english, which means it's what shown to people not from my language list AND the anglosphere, which is by far my #1 potential users. After 1 month i discover i uploaded the placeholders (picrel) instead of the edited screenshots, costing me an estimated 5k users.

Somebody told me my game reminds them of library of ruina, so i played it the past 4 days. It mogged my soul so much that i decided to give up on my previous game.

I might start a new project. The current idea is to have it be an indentured organization that mainly runs a cannibalistic restaurant looked over by a few oligarchs in a city. You need to fulfill various duties while your patrons demand body parts of your crew.
Not sure if i like the premise though, i sort of imagine it to play a bit like sultans game in which you start a run by being made aware of which body parts theyre going to look for + other errands. With each week having a different goal. The win condition would be to either be spared of your duties by fulfilling every request or fleeing the city.
I sort of dont want to make a roguelike though, which means the other option would be to make it a story game, but i dont think i have it in me to write something interesting or cohesive.
All of my grocery store applications got rejected too, i dont know what to apply for at this point.
