Started my first playthrough of the first Code Vein game.Trying to make a bayonet build, really fun so far, using the Prometheus blood code with the Scrap Bayonet.Just got to the poison swamp and exploring has been alright.This game is so much more than "anime souls" it's dripping with style, especially the buddy dialog.Yakumo has been a real one for me.

It reminds me of Dragons Dogma.For gifts, I take the basic passives, more health, stam, sex, and balance.Then for actives I mainly rely on blood shot to aggro in enemies into firing range, venom trap to punish them for chasing me, phantom slash for melee combos, and blazing roar for bigger ranged damage.I switch around some other ones based on what I'm doing.The item finding gift is helpful, and the buddy perk from Yamuko is cool for boss fights, and the ranged damage buff gift is nice when I'm about to magdump a crowd.
