Akagi mahjong does seem pretty hard to play but it seems the meta is just winning garbage fast hands over and over. Like in the manga it's different because they have a teammate to feed them big hands for winning the match and for small hands dealing in is still a big dealThe other one with the lock was interesting. I though the main idea was that you'd use it to hide dangerous discards but it seems more like a weird form of poker where people who think they can win fast will raise a massive pot for each other. But it's weird since if you're not in the running folding doesn't matter since the pots are so huge that it completely overshadows anything you deal into
