They genuinely helped with clarity.In terms of level design, what I feel dragged it down the most was enemy battle rooms. It's not a huge issue in story mode, but it's definitely a bit annoying in guest star.

Kinda surprised to hear the outline thing, it's one of those things people always seem a bit more mixed on regarding RtDX given they weren't there for the original and all, some people went out of their way to make a mod removing them as soon as the demo came out. Maybe they'd add a toggle for them if Star Allies got a S2E? They do already have some kind of outline shader given the boss splashscreens are rendered in real time rather than being prerendered, so maybe they could jerryrig the outline shader part of 'em into the main game at some point... I'm a huge fan of Star Allies (probably my favorite of the 2D games, genuinely) but I definitely get why you'd prefer RtDL all around.
