I think Jason might be the strongest killer in the game right now. Mostly because his map traversal is just so strong. I can’t think of a killer with better traversal. It’s like wraith, but faster. It’s like bat form, but easier to tell where people are and you get killer instinct. It’s like all the other killers with teleports, but with more flexibility. He also comes out quickly, blocks whatever he’s coming from, and you don’t necessarily know where he’s coming from. There’s also no direct counter play to stop him from appearing, like closing portals. He can still warp to destroyed pallets, and he can warp to floors above or below him, which is huge on indoor maps. The counter play to him using his power seems to be to stop doing anything productive, which only makes it better, especially with passive forms of regression. Harpoons are also, arguably, the best projectile in the game. Fast, long distance, straight, hitbox that can easily go through narrow gaps. He also gets the spike aura like Springtrap’s hatchet. And it hurls survivors, like Wesker’s throw, which can put them in a position to easier get hit again (and unlike wesker, there’s no possibility of getting cucked out of doing damage). That’s huge when someone healthy is coming out of the basement. You can just knock them down the stairs for an almost guaranteed kill. It can also pin people against walls, and gives a super fast mori, like Pyramid head. Except pyramid head can’t guarantee someone gets tormented, while Jason can guaranteed put a hook spike in someone. The only drawbacks are being 110 and only getting one harpoon at a time. Except he gets haste any time he comes out of his power and more harpoons are everywhere and it takes no time at all to grab them, even in omnipresent. So you can pretty much always have haste and a harpoon. There are better killers in chase, but looking at the whole kit, I think Jason is top dog right now.

Technically someone can win literally every single match ever and have an infinite winstreak and have 75% killrate because they just don't bother with hatch and 3k is a win. Or someone can have 85% killrate but actually lose more matches but they just always slug to secure a 4k.
My best friend, Scott Jund, just explained how Jason is good but not at all S tier, and people just don't understand the counterplay yet. Then he laid the counterplay out! I'm glad that now people will understand better, and hopefully Jason won't receive any nerfs!
