I just started caring about this game because i just played it on a whim for the first time a few days ago and somehow had zero spoilers or knowledge on anything and i loved it a lot. Its still living rent free in my head, it was a beautiful story and the presentation is insane for rpgmaker. Also i read some angry post in the archives about it from years ago saying that the twist about how mari died was bad and sunny has no personality and you cant feel anything for him. That old anon is a fucking retard and clearly missed the entire point of literally everything the game presented.Anyway since im really late i dont know if this is even an alive general/fanbase or whatever but i dont really care, i just thought the game was pure kino, thank you for reading my blog

The path to get Universally Loved also helps make him look even more like all those words you used because of everything that goes into helping everyone. I was thinking about Drying on the Steps again and got a little sad. I miss that story. I wish they hadn't just deleted both it and their account of Ao3 when they abandoned it. And right when the story seemed to be reaching the climax.

Then you go to Faraway and realize how much everything's and everyone's changed from back then.The fight with Aubrey hinges on the player accepting the above. When you go to attack Aubrey, you're in the same mindset Sunny is. It's not a malicious act, you're just doing what's been "normal" up to this point. For the player, it's game logic. For Sunny, that's just how Headspace works. So it actively hurting Aubrey and ending the fight because she got slashed with a knife and knives hurt is shocking.In the manga, they can't do that. There was no Headspace up to this point. No normal established. Instead they actively reframe the scene to seem more like Sunny kind of 'shuts down' and Omori takes over after Aubrey says something particularly harsh, and "willingly" attacks her. I put willingly in quotations because some textboxes make it seem like Sunny was internally screaming at himself to not do it as the act was happening. They do something different, and I'd say worse in this case, but to be fair they couldn't really replicate what Omori did because the Aubrey fight is something that works strongest in a playable video game setting. I think.
