Just watched the Persona 4 remake overview video.It looks... identical to the original? Like I don't see why I shouldn't just play Golden instead. At least the 3 remake seemed to shake up the game a bit and made some positive changes.

Since the other Seele is getting a new battlesuit i'll actually have to engage with the gacha lottery, but because i haven't done so in like 3 years i have way more than enough to just guarantee everything. Hopefully later down the line my wife will get a new weapon that will "update" her to be compatible with Part 2 stuff, since they've been doing something like that to other characters for a while now and it would mean i'd finally be able to field both Seeles at the same time, which would be amazing.

Anyway, I finished up with First Light and my final thoughts on the game is basicallyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KC656o7_zVkLiterally just this for 20 odd hours. After the credits rolled the game unlocks a handful of challenge missions (just chunks of regular levels with different enemy layouts or objectives). After beating one and the prompt to do another popped up I had a moment where I sat there and went.>......Nahhh. and deleted the game. It's so sad because Hitman is the POLAR OPPOSITE of this kind of game design, so it's fucking bizarre that IOI regressed into making the most cliche shitty game imaginable. Like, Hitman manages to perfectly blend 'hiding' stealth, 'social' stealth and action bits into one cohesive package each level, meanwhile Bond separates them into three firmly enforced sections so the structure of every chapter is identical. You know how it was a big controversy in Metroid Other M how Samus needs to get outside authorisation to DEFEND HERSELF? Well First Light does the literal exact same thing with Bond. You aren't even allowed to draw your weapon unless you're in the dedicated 'shooting gallery' enemy wave segments. Shit just doesn't feel good to play. The one thing it does have over Hitman is an actual attempt at a melee combat system, but it's really janky and mashy. It's like playing Arkham but you're blind drunk.
