ok let me explain how the gun works. basically all of your damage comes from multiplying supplemental damage x flurry x echoes. each source of any of those will increase your final damage bigly. for example if you have 4 echo sources and the max 280k supplemental damage and hit the orange button you are getting 54.6m damage from supplemental damage alone. if you add one more echo it goes up to 65.5m damage or if you add one more flurry hit it's 71.4m damage.this means you want every source of supplemental damage and echoes you can get. 1 bridekeeper instead of 2 lowers your supplemental dpt by 10m and not having tetraGAWD loses another 15m, and this difference becomes even greater the more hits you can stack. for this reason 2 bridekeepers is absolutely core. you can cope with only 1, but it's cope. 1 clockwork is more ok since the main thing you want from it now is the deathstrike echo. the ta and crit are ok, but not nearly as important as an echo you don't have to push buttons to get. for the same reason destroyer is also super core. so between those weapons + dark opus you have 6 core weapons and 4 free slots. primal is obviously better since you only need 2 exaltos which gives you 2 spaces for defensive weapons or more damage. magna is possible but it gives you less flexibility on top of being weaker in general.

Sacrificing a weapon in Magna is a tough sell because the power level is so much lower than Primal. You may have issues hitting cap if you take outa Levi Axe or something just to get an unboosted 3% echo. And dropping Extremity is definitely not worth.

shilling this gun to a new player is just nuts when you consider that: (1) the gun's primary use is bursting, (2) the gun relies on bullets, and (3) the use case outside of bursting, while valid, is limited. if you use ilsa, that will necessarily force you to slot either tien or octavia. that setup is pure offense, and your options are pretty much limited to a set of characters, either running the optimal one or going 2/flex. there's no point in shilling this weapon to a literal newchud. so yeah, it's either made up or the guy got bodied and will feel it later after his hopium wears off.
