The shield one is pretty shit.
It doesn't work on melee attacks and only absorbs ranged ones. A good enough player won't need the shield one at all since you can just dodge, sprint and slide everywhere with impunity, which makes you just outright immune to ranged damage anyway.
So taking the shield blitz is genuinely pointless and you're better off picking something else.

And the servoskull is the objectively best blitz, but it requires you to collect blitz charges which is pretty shit and largely makes no sense. It would've made way more sense for the servoskull to recharge like the dog explosion on arby, just make it very slow to recharge, like make it 60 seconds or even 70 seconds to gain a full blitx charge, so you can't abuse the fuck out of it.

If you aren't an autist, just play the game more. It's something that you can only improve gradually.
Find a general sensitivity (somewhere from slow as fuck to fast as fuck) and stick to one sensitivity setting for 10-20 hours. From there, start making adjustments, but give yourself time to acclimate to new settings. Then just play the game more. Maybe pick guns that require better aiming, like semi-autos (keep in mind Sharttide still has some hitreg issues. You can dink enemy chaff in the head while it's running sideways and fail to deal damage despite seeing the impact).

The autist option is putting daily time into an aim trainer. I tried one once for all of 5 minutes, and it was boring as shit. Moreover, it's time you spend only improving that one skill instead of all skills that would go into whatever shooters you play.

It was explicitly stated that they were constructed using a far more resource intensive, far more difficult to recreate methodology, and was completely different than how Space Marines are made. This was done so that there was an in-universe explanation concerning why Space Marines are not all just Custodes. The big thing they used to differentiate the two is that Space Marines use gene seed in order to quickly be stamped out, mass production is only possible with the gene seed. There's like four books where this is a major point. What happened in addition to this was GW (at the same time) confirmed that Space Marines could only be male due to the very same gene seed. But since Custodes don't use Gene Seed there was nothing stopping someone from writing or stating that Femstodes existed. Fast-forward to the Custodes becoming an army and getting their first codex. In that, it was retconned that the male heirs of various high borne houses and shit were submitted for selection and the blurb states it was only males. This is how it switched. For all intents and purposes, the time frame that male only Custodes was canon is like a fourth of the total time that Femstodes could have existed (due to an interpretation of the lore) and then the official depiction of Femstodes. People whining over this aren't even secondaries. Frankly, the concept of gene seed has seen many more retcons since it was first introduced than fucking Custodes have if you look into the many ways GW has changed what it does, how it's made, how it was first made, etc. Frankly, if I look into the lore, I think you'd find that Grav plates as a technology seen more changes than Custodes.

Yes, but not every instance is the same. I run True Grit on Arby, for example, because it's great on the occasion that you do need it, and one point isn't a crazy investment to grab it. But an "ignore ranged attacks" shield is not similarly useful. It won't save me from a potentially fatal mistake (unless I really fuck-up my positioning), it doesn't provide a constant benefit, and there's a very limited use you get out of ignoring ranged attacks considering how easily you can typically avoid them anyway. Moreover, it's a blitz you give up, not a single talent point. Huge difference in opportunity cost and effectiveness. Reducing the nuances to simply disliking generic criticisms against crutch talents isn't fair.

a defensive skill like immunity is strong and can be used proactively, like the example i listed earlier for hive scum. sure they can be 'oh shit' buttons but good players can find more uses out of these sort of tools
i can say the same thing about true grit, how it's just a crutch that lets you get overheaded/bombed instead of developing the skill to dodge properly. and because it's a passive it's on all the time, instead of just a few seconds with a cooldown.
obviously everyone should work on their weaknesses, but in the end there are bound to be things that kill you from time to time, and some things are generally scarier than others. and hive scum isn't a class i play much, or to lean on a ranged immunity gimmick instead of learning to play.

I think Darktide would benefit more if they expanded the enemy roster (particularly with a mind for enemy groupings and how they balance) and minibosses and included more variance for levels and havoc modifiers and stuff rather than just throwing out new classes. The classes were already one of the stronger aspects of the game. The zombies mode was good but the helldivers mode was lame because it was just the same game but with a timer and not much else to differentiate it from normal gameplay.

Hive Scum's ability lasts significantly longer, and if the explosion on the Skit shield is shit, Cum ability will also be bringing other benefits that are actually useful.

True Grit saves you from the game not working, shitty teammates, AND the occasional fuckup, but you're still playing the exact same you would without it. If you don't see how that functions differently than, "Now I can ignore [mechanic]," then I don't know why we're even having a conversation.

The real answer is the other 3 people on your team. But I get what you mean. Yes, ranged attacks are the scariest damage source, but last time I played H40, pushing revolved entirely around whether ranged enemies were dealt with/disabled. And if you're holding somewhere with no way to grab cover and LOS enemies, you're fucking up tremendously. Yes, I got caught a couple times and had my health shaved almost clean off, but it was pretty rare. I absolutely wouldn't run a shitty 8 second immunity for them just so I could play slightly more carelessly sometimes. What a fucking waste.

While doing the emote next to an ally performing a finisher is amusing, I don't think the players doing it on the elevator are looking for a laugh but as a sign of comraderie and just something to do on an otherwise boring elevator ride. Similarly, mulching the horde at the end of a Darktide level isn't some big LOL but just a cooldown and venting. They find it fun to wail on the horde from a safe position, lighten up. What I'm trying to get at, is that it's really funny overall how chinks believe they're way smarter than us. I've noticed this across many communities. also there are many maps where you're forced to take a fight right after a drop and they choose to spawn a boss on you. you can mitigate dying to gunners with good positioning and falling back, but it is not uncommon to be forced into uncomfortable spots.
though yes i do agree that the shield might be a bit weak, i just don't think it's a crutch, as anyone who can't handle gunners aren't going to stop dying because of this.

You keep going on about slippery slopes when I've tried to point out that not everything people could call a crutch is the same, which is in direct contention with your premise of, "but if you ignore sense, everything can be a crutch. Just take it to an extreme." It's a strawman. Regardless of what you say, my personal issue with some of the crutches is that anything that lets you ignore mechanics is liable to do more long term harm than good. It's why I'm fine with True Grit but don't touch Thy Wrath, for instance since the former changes nothing about your play habits while the latter does.

But you still just wanna talk about people calling things crutches when I've levied plenty of criticism towards what the ability actually does. Thinking about it, it does actually make a lot of sense. The rejects start on a prison ship and it's very well documented that ogryns are fiercely loyal and especially worthy soldiers when they're not being complete retards. Which is to say, if you're a guard sergeant or lieutenant and you've got a bone'ead ogryn, you're going to hold onto that son of a bitch. You're not going to cast him away for some minor infraction. And the only ogryns who would even qualify for the implant would be those in the guard. So, barring exceptional circumstances, the only time you'd see an ogryn cast aside to a prison ship with the implant would be a former guard (hence him calling everyone sah) for whom the implant didn't actually take.

Whether they considered this when coming up with the voices and backstory, I don't know, but it's mildly interesting.

they are both good at that, but rumbler also does massive AOE explosive damage. for example the punishment pack of bulwarks that spawns if your team runs too far back is a massive annoyance for most teams to deal with when encountered during a horde/boss, but ogryn can just fire at them a couple times and outright kill most and leave the rest sprawling on the ground.
