The campaign chapters that focused on Levi were really shit, Unbreakable Sphere and Boom the Ghost were controversial and Goddess Fall was downright divisive (the later in large part because it kills off a few playable Nikke that otherwise hadn't really done much in years, which angered parts of the fanbase). There's also been a number of high profile screwups on SU's end recently, the very recent screw up with Solo Raids being buggy got a lot of people very mad and Surface Mode (new gameplay mode that was tested late last year) was a complete failure. The game isn't dying specifically but there's been plenty to complain about as of late.btw you should probably wish list Neon Vision Eye in the Pilgrim list, there are some major walls that require a strong Electric boss killer and Neon is probably the best unit you could roll for clearing those. You also really want Rapi Red Hood eventually.

I started playing around Sakura's event. I remember struggling with the wall, clearing train was an acomplisment, and when the POW was changed around the winter event with Xlud and Xmica. I remember catching up to the story as a newcutie and trying to remember core moments (i still forget exia dying). Ever since i caught up to the story a long time ago I've felt my patience grow thinner over time. The Idol slop lasted forever, it took forever for the Rapi Redhood arc to end. Since then we reclaimed part of the surface. We can fall from thousands of feet in the sky and survive. I miss the old story and yes, that includes Crow being a retard. I wanted to be a normal human, sometimes pulling off unimaginable feats of strength/willpower. Now it seems every time there's a story beat that might be relevant, an ex machina "erhm actually" come sout of no where. Yes i remeber getting shanked by modernia, and her crying and coming too, just for chatterbox to be rikker and re-corrupt her. I miss the old story so much where things actually moved. it feels like every new story has to be 10% plot progression, 10% quips, 70% meaningless dialouge, 5% dragonball power-ups, 5% steaks. I miss the first summer event that was basically story events. the first half was peak and i was thinking in story 2 of the first summer event "there's only 3 stages, how do they wrap this up?" just to be greated with a summer event part 2 that has another story 1 and 2. Did going public really fuck up shift-up this much? I only really play for the Story, SR, and UR. SR i reduced caring about like, 3 SR's ago. UR is fun working together, the story is also something i WANT to read. but the pacing has been slow since idol slop. what do you think can save nikke?

Neon, who is usually overconfident even confirms this statement. It should be extremely obvious the point the story is trying to make and that is, Counters is close in strength to Matis, probably slightly weaker.

Wow, I just finished my first visual novel in like 10+ years, I think I played Majikoi and the sequels back then. I just finished Saya no uta. Man, that humanity ending was surprisingly touching, makes me feel like watching some action romance series. First horror VN i've ever read too. I honestly, I feel like nikke is lacking true romance. A lot of nikke romances just feel like crushes, even Rapi. Maybe there's a little in 2x2 love but in the end it still feels kind of selfish. I know I'll be hated for this but the only love that comes truly close is Viper's love and it was only during her summer event. There needs to be Nikke who give off the impression that she would give up anything for (you) no matter what (while be sane, so Isabelle does not count). I guess there is Modernia... but she has done anything of value and her focus feels more so for rapture rights.
