Beat the DH beta on hard.The cases were okay, could use easier clue searching, sometimes you have to search literally everything in a location to notice a secret room or a clue.A lot of stuff is unfinished so I can't really rate the narrative or companions.Combat got better compared to RT or at least Hard difficulty got, because it stops you from getting to 10 morale from mooks and ulting everything. In fact I haven't got to 10 morale even once in 20 hours, I assume you need to build an officer for it. You can consistenly get enemies to -10 morale with an officer and it's a working strat because -10 morale gives autohits.Burn seems very strong, just Saro+1 flamer soldier can ramp it up fast to 30-50 stacks and do several procs a turn with an officer. A full burn party with 2 pyros will be ez mode, it will probably get toned down.Infamous Valkyrie fight was the hardest, the trick was to find exact spot where you don't get killed by gas or valkyrie and fight there.Demon fight gets curbstomped by Discordance, I wonder how they will adjust the demon/psyker balance because Discordance completely mogs those.Overall Saro and pyros in general are the strongest characters, lots of aoe damage from long range and multiple spells a turn. You will have no problem with multiple psykers because sanctioned ones get to turn down veil tear.Best tank seems to be the Forgeworld one because of free repair kit, soldiers and warriors can both heavy armor and tank.You really need a precision attacker, preferably ranged one because of how much fight gimmicks rely on hitting body parts.Btw EVERY fight is a gimmick fight, you just don't fight 20 hobos in a hallway anymore, everything needs a meme mechanic for some reason.Larry was the only character I couldn't find a niche for.The Larry/Raakhti xeno situation is also a complete narrative shitshow where you can get rid of them, but if you won't every npc will sperg out about it and still let you drag them around.

We are getting mostly humans because Imperium is the main faction of the setting and are the narrative POV in 95% of books & lore as well. Most 40kfags are Imperiumfags and they get catered to the most, after them Chaos and Xeno factions are left with scraps compared to Imperium. The Armaggedon box was a super rare outlier where Orks, a xeno race got miles better content than Marines for once.

Act 4 of RT feels like such a slog. You're ridiculously strong at this point, especially with all the DLC giving you a bunch of xp. You have the best items in the game, best colony rewards, maxed out vendors, etc. Fights and exploration just aren't fun. And it's not an exclusive Owlkek, I had the same problem with BG3's Act 3.

Most fun I've had in RT was Navy Officer Warrior dual wielding. Fleet Combat training is so good on a melee character. It also stacks with fencing boots and auto striking sword. So anything that attacks me in melee gets counter attacked to death.
