I wonder if tomorrow's update is going to be another build-up chapter of "What will ever happen to our heroes? Tune in next week!" or if it'll be one of those chapters where we get bitch-slapped by a truckload of lore and plot. I love it when Twst does that. Just minding my own business and suddenly "what do you mean Raverne is the reason why Lilia is at NRC, Yana come back here" but no, too late, now Rook is channeling his inner applejack and the fandom will never be the same.
>>571795586>Yana come back hereYana is a mysterious combination of gremlin and fairy, dispensing curses and/or blessings when you least expect it. Wait, is Lilia Yana’s self-insert?
>>571799062Putting all her energy into hatching her project, being killed and then brought back to life by that same project. The Senate is Disney.
>>571806596>Senate is Disney.Took it away from her, added a bunch of shit that no one asked for and made it misterable
Bump
Watching abyss and Azul is so cat coded I love that sassy nerd
>>571819948My octopussy can't be this cute!
>>571822430Yes, that's the face. He so sassy
>missed the enstars discourseNoooooBut also as a former enstars player, think it's still going strong through a combo of sunk cost fallacy + oldfags being nostalgic about the early era stories (which was on the higher end for idolslop, but since then quality has gone downhill + has made a lot of decisions that pissed certain parts of the fanbase off) + Enstars constantly pumping out new content.Like objectively enstars clears in the amount of new stuff it gives players. New events ~every 2 weeks with full MVs and new songs, twst could never.
>>571829532I'm wondering more about how twst earns that much sometimes outside of those big events. I love its slower release schedule, every new content and main story update actually feels like a big event instead of being overwhelmed like I do in other games but I've been purely f2p all these years. I got all the cards I want and still 20k+ gems. I find myself asking what are people spending on here more than why enstars is still earning that much. Are people just dumping money on twst as a thank you because I get it if they are, at this point I feel like I'm robbing Yana
>>571832409Honestly I'm asking myself that every day. Little to no events + releasing tonight of cards that don't even have stories attached (club, overblot...) = any other game would have EOS long before now. Plus you're right if you have like one or two oshis you get more than enough gems naturally to pull for his birthday card which sometimes can be the only new content he'll get for the year.Either it's managed to attract Yana / Disneyfag megawhales who are sticking around because of sunk cost OR Disney is heavily subsidising their most successful mobage franchise to keep itself relevant with the JP and US Disney adults with spending money.(Appealing to the US Disney adults is probably why Europe's being ignored because the only Disneyland over their is in the hands of the french)
>>571829532>twst could never.I agree with >>571832409 the schedule you just described sounds like hell, I'm exhausted just reading about it. I guess that's more normal for gacha, keeping them closer to the constant sensory overload that reminds me of pachinko, but I could never. >>571832409>I feel like I'm robbing YanaSame. And I do think you're right about "just dumping money on twst as a thank you," I've heard about jpsisters buying the monthly gem packs like it's a voluntary subscription fee just because they feel like they should be paying SOMEthing SOMEhow, even if it's not something they actually need. A fascinating marketing approach: we'll give you so much great content for free that you'll feel guilty about it and pay us voluntarily. This only applies to JP of course, not EN and it's "rerunning glomas for the third time, sticking up a full-screen banner every week reminding you that you can BUY GEMS FOR CASH like a fucking used car salesman" schtick.
>>571832409>>571833967You know how host clubs used to do that thing where they would advertise which of their hosts earn the most? And instead of going "Holy shit, my favorite guy is a total slut, he doesn't need my money if he's getting that much from other women, I'm taking my wallet somewhere else," ladies would instead empty their bank accounts to contribute and make sure that their favorite host made as much money as possible? And it got so bad that they institute a rule that the clubs can't publicize host earnings anymore? That's what the mobage earnings rankings always remind me of. People see enstars over Twst and most of the time it's like "well yeah that's enstars, number 1 host" but then we get into Twst's big months, like Halloween and anniversary, and it turns into "fuck enstars if they think they're gonna beat my Twst on its own birthday I don't even want any fucking cards but they can have three months of my salary anyway, Number 1 Host Twisted Wonderland."
>>571833967>A fascinating marketing approach: we'll give you so much great content for free that you'll feel guilty about it and pay us voluntarily.....gonna disagree with you there. Really these days the only GREAT content is the main story and like the first years worth of events (Halloween 1+2, glomas, ghost bride, wishing star, fairy gala). Everything else is either a solid meh to hot garbage. And also we don't get MUCH content either because we get a main story update every 6 months if we're lucky, and multiple months between events. Events which these days are 90% referenceslop.>BUY GEMS FOR CASH like a fucking used car salesman" schtick.Honestly if the JP sisters weren't paying tribute like you describe, then JP would have to go that way too in order to keep the lights on. Sure twst isn't spamming you with events but lack of new content = lack of things to spend in game. Why is why EN is in constant rerun hell and sped up the event timeline, in order to keep the EN revenue stream up and players who aren't content with deepthroating Yana playing. The fact that some EN reruns are 3 deep now really highlights the content drought which somehow JP is content to deal with. (Though I am seeing grumbles here and there now that the "sorry COVID please understand" is getting more flimsy by the year)
>>571834427You know I had been wondering why these days for enstars, their Halloween has basically been just a rotation of their top 5 cashcows. It's to compete with all the twst sleeper agents activating for Halloween kek
>>571836171>EN is in constant rerun hell and sped up the event timelineI still think that EN functions like they have the "you might EOS next quarter, we're not saying you will but we're not saying you won't" threat over their heads. They're constantly pushing as much as physically possible as fast as physically possible even after the well dried up, but but it's not like JP was promising constant updates and then pulled the rug out from under them or something. EN had YEARS of reference for JP. They KNEW the pace. They KNEW this was going to happen, and they did it anyway. It reminds me of the last hurrah that mobage do before they go under in order to get as much money out of their clueless fanbase as possible. I'm not saying they're gonna EOS cause that's a stupid-ass rumor based on nothing, I'm just saying that that is how they've been functioning for four years now and it's never made any sense. No one has a right to the pikachu face, we all saw this coming. They could've had a more laid back release schedule to match JP from the start, attracting people that prefer a more laid back pace, but instead they did stuff like releasing Book 6 in only TWO gigantic parts when it had been split into like six sections on JP, attracting people who like fast-paced games like enstars and driving off people who like a more relaxed game like how Twst actually is. And I don't know why.
It looks like the Disney Tsum game is getting new characters of Twisted Wonderland? Does this mean they're finally going to complete the main cast, Trey, Cater, Lilia, Silver, and Sebek?
>>571836746>They could've had a more laid back release schedule to match JP from the startNah if EN stuck to the OG JP timeline they would have definitely EOS, because a lack of content would have them losing all of the players who didn't that didn't migrate over from JP (aka curious tourists who only picked it up because lol Disney prettyboy gender end game). Because, let's face it, the base gameplay loop is as fun as watching paint dry.At least with going strong right out of the gate they had a better chance of these types of EN players latching into an oshi. Granted I think they went a tad too fast but they had speed thins up to get those tourists invested in the first few cruical years. Also YOU personally may like laid back gacha games but to be honest a vast majority expect games they put money towards to be putting out a schedule like enstars, especially players who aren't old hag wageslaves like I am. >but instead they did stuff like releasing Book 6 in only TWO gigantic parts when it had been split into like six sections on JPHonestly I support this because the wait for main story on JP was driving me bonkers. Same with the wait for this next part of chapter 3, too much wait time between story segments completely kills momentum.
>>571837549Oh so that's why these fuckers didn't rerun tsum 3. Probably waiting for this to drop so they can do a tie in campaign.Tsum silver....I need you...
>>571837560>the wait for main story on JP was driving me bonkersWell we get to wait for it now whether we like it or not cause EN can't make JP speed up and now they're on JP's schedule, like they should have been from the start.
>>571837869Yes and it's still driving me bonkers, and I'm certainly not the only one. Like if they DON'T finish 8.3 this update they are honestly taking the piss.
>>571837560>who aren't old hag wageslaves like I amThat does explain a lot. This exact debate came up even on jp during the early years I was there to witness it until people started noticing most of the ones that were complaining were students and the ones who weren't were working adults. I even remember the comparisons to mhyk releases back then and people glazing how fast mhyk was releasing content but guess which game got another boost in popularity lately and people paying voluntarily because of how satisfied they were with the big ending of a main story arc, not mhyk for sure. I agree on some points like I miss those better events but also very torn on dumping more work on Yana, main story quality is definitely much better than it was at the beginning and that's where they seem to be focusing her on. Would kill for more gosumari and glomas quality events though. At the end of the day twst is catering for that working adult audience and we have to remember that

The real miracle of Silver's birth is him surviving Lilia honestly.
>>571857489Kek I always wondered if Malleus played a bigger role in raising Silver than what has been revealed so far since ch7 showed he offered to get baby food sent to Lilia's cottage from the castle after Lilia said he wanted to try feeding Silver some weird stuff for nutrition
>>571875247I do wonder who the other RSA pairings will be considering Mina and Rielle are together and have similar songs.Think the aurora dorm fairy will be on their own to face down malleus + silver. Going by the vibe of the songs its...>Nala + Neige - both songs are about accepting/wanting love>Alice + Meg - both songs are about wanting to be on their "own"
>>571876642Leona is 99% confirmed for Magift, if they're going to be facing off their RSA counterpart, Nala and Neige team-up will require Vil to be in magift too, a little odd but can happen I suppose. Vil seems more of a mystic mortar pick to me. Also I saw the post >>571875247 came from, wasn't it more about speculating what the um might be? The pic even has Silver's um there
>>571877834Considering Leona is really going crazy with the lineup (see: Ruggie, shoe in for Magift not being in Magift) I can see him putting Vil in Magift purely because Vil is such a wildcard pick for that spot that RSA totally wouldn't have made any counterplans for him. ...But then again I'm totally not seeing RSA putting Neige in Magift so maybe my theory is a dud. Most obvious RSA Magift picks are Nala and then probably Meg (assuming he's going to be a jock to counter Idia's nerd)
