I'm chinese and played global from beginning. CN version does good because we have no new gacha to play currently. Slay the Spire 2 is very badly received right now and after chinese modding drama it got even worse. But things starting to look better now thanks to Chaos Zero Nightmare. Many chinese say that thanks to this game they like STS 2 again and modding drama is over too. Players are already leaving and CZN is losing placement in rankings. It has many praises at start. But now complaints in forums and QQ groups are mostly>story disjointedMany think that SG had animation cutscenes made before and now try to reach them with the new story again but it makes the story pacing not good>story boring and lack logicTime travel powers are not explained at all and are totally overpowered making everything that happens in the story not matter because the solution is always rewind and fix every problem.>lack of depth Gameplay lacks depth compared to STS and 2 and this is what many compare it to. Praises about card choice upgrades turned into criticism because you only chase one or two decks for every character. Teambuilding is very shallow and you only need Cassius and Rei and whatever DPS.>lack of many social featuresAgain, a lot of systems feel disjointed. Profile? Friends? No Guild? Same as with global. Nothing changed and personally was disappointed as well.Overall the game will survive with a small following but SG need to focus what chinese players really interested in.

Okay so I kinda wish I could test this more throughoutly, so I might run some lower difficulty sorties to test but.I just finished a sortie run with Tenebria where I had to flash Music, Start! 8 different times to get Arpeggio. What was interesting, though, was that I got the same 3 options every single time until a random epiphany event selected a different card to epi.This leads me to believe that perhaps epiphanies in sortie (and maybe the game in general) are fixed in place and you will continue to get the same options until you make the RNG seed move forward by actually choosing an epiphany.If true, then whenever you are in sortie and you don't get what you want and wanna skip, remember to get another epiphany on another card before trying to flash the first card again to get something different.This might be pure schizophrenia on my part so I'll probably try a low difficulty sortie where I can kinda experiment and see if it does pan out like that.
