Duoslop is fine if there is an actual good reason for it that establishes why the characters would be duoslop and they also get cards outside of duo slop. Forte and Miriam had a duo card because they are mother and daughter and it was actually unique because it gave dragon an artifact since Miriam is a portalcraft character.The way abyss does it is fucking terrible because it exists purely because they need to shove blood and shadow characters together for space and they are never ever going to get separate cards unless the set size suddenly doubled.

The New Legendaries ARE NOT STORMSLOP!I'm tired of everyone throwing around this buzzword anytime they see "storm" on a card. If you are gonna use words like this at least use them correctly. Storm slop does not just mean a card has storm on it. Stormslop specifically refers to a generic storm card that requires no setup and has no unique effects, it just hits face. There are PLENTY of storm cards that are not stormslop, many of which were just revealed.An example of stormslop would be a card like Odin or Forte. They have no setup requirements, no unique gameplay mechanics, and very little counterplay options. You can just top draw them and slam them down for free face damage. These kinds of cards are badly designed because they require little to no strategy to use, no real deckbuilding knowledge, have no synergy or class identity, and are just really boring.But those cards are NOT THE SAME as storm cards that work as payoffs for a specific strategy or game state that you build towards. Cards that act as storm finishers, but have deck synergy and class identity and require actual thought and game planning to use as well as deckbuilding knowledge ARE NOT stormslop, they are just strong win cons or finishers. For example, the new Rune Legendary, Tetra & Ladica, is not stormslop because it actually requires you to build the entire deck around them and play towards spellboosting them with a real gameplan and strategic thinking before you can even play them as a finisher. Similarly I don't think anyone would call the artifact mech "stormslop" because it requires a really methodical approach to summoning it and takes an entire match worth of setup.So please, can we stop just screaming STORMSLOP at every card, it just makes actual discussion impossible because people throw around buzzwords with 0 nuance or understanding.
