Excitedly guiding Asgore to the festival Ferris wheel during a break handing out flowers in hopes of taking a romantic ride together to enjoy the view over the town (with perhaps some secretive smooching), until we're stopped dead in our tracks by a sign declaring a height/size limit that quickly deters my path towards the ice cream stand to get him a big peanut butter cone as I sit besides him on a bench to comfort him with reassurance that as long as I'm by his side I'm happy (he tried having me go up alone and take pictures so at least one of us might enjoy it, but I rejected that idea instantaneously in favor of staying with him and enjoying some less secretive smooching instead). Snuggling against Asgore's side in the delightful waters of his castle hot springs as I attempt to maintain a conversation about how strange yet wonderful this place is with him as a way to hopefully calm down his intense stress being here and maybe get him to at least enjoy the warmth with me for a while, and as the distinct lines on his face eventually smooth into a stressed yet slightly sad expression I gently touch his cheek and promise we will figure everything out together (though his calm remained for a while, shifting through the scattered notes I've been gathering as we went along quickly began burdening his overwrought mind as I simply did my best to listen and be there for him through this). Making my way through Flower King's Dark World with Asgore towards the Fountain in a sort of impromptu tour as he attempts to describe all the peculiar sights that seem to be of Japanese origin from memory, until he eventually dryly wonders aloud how much fun Alphys would have seeing all of this if he wasn't absolutely insistent on finding a way to close it the moment its maker shows themselves (we each took a silent moment to imagine the scene for a while, before unanimously deciding with a nod shared that such a thing never happening is likely best for all parties involved)[ 2 / 3 ]
