I will say this in hopes M9 sees it. If OuterGuardian can be so kind to forward it that'd be much appreciated.

Your revenue and currency hoarding problem stems from gacha segregation, currency split and handing them out like candy and that's what you need to fix but the right way not this.

The core issue is that every regular (not limited not demiurge) hero you release, the players simply immediately get her practically for free with the truckload of purple event tickets (and selectors when available) and then the dupes are genuinely free by playing (though dupes are not really impactful for regular heroes either way), so you are losing revenue from characters that basically take the same amount of work and resources to make than premium ones while simultaneously devaluing the special recruit currency to the point it's seen as unwanted since after playing for a while you are bound have more than you can spend especially if you're conservative and wait for free dupes to become available, leading to the issue of not needing to use ether or to pay to get these new heroes and we go full circle.

What you should do is remove event recruit tickets and convert all those rewards to regular tickets that award mileage, reducing the amount rewarded proportionally. In today's statement you appraised them at a ratio of 3:1 event-to-regular so go with that. For the conversion of currency in possession you then apply a similar ratio, either automatically on maintenance or through a shop to exchange the retired currency for the standard one. As for dupes the current time gates for doppelganger and custom recruit alongside the acquisition rate should be enough to maintain it healthy, especially if regular hero transcendence impact remains low.

Next what you should do is unify the currencies, making all regular, limited and demiurge recruit use the same currency. For this we either standardize demiurge recruit rates to be the same as the others and that way keep the cost at a neat 1 ticket per roll everywhere, or we keep the current scheme with different rates and increased cost and for that we make the cost be 15 tickets for demiurge recruit and 10 for others. Needless to say you convert the equivalent of 1 roll today to the corresponding amount of new currency.

As for Custom Recruit you may keep a separate currency for it as a way to more freely and abundantly reward it to players, in some ways similar to how purple tickets are handled currently but in a more healthy manner long-term. Custom Recruit should be a way for new players to catch up and for existing players to defer obtaining heroes that they don't want to prioritize until later and without going through their stash for new/limited heroes.

Mileage ideally should be shared among all the gachas that use the same currency, that is all regular, limited and demuirge recruit share the same mileage count, albeit the required amount to buy a hero may differ, depending on individual rates or some other criteria that's reasonable. Custom Recruit would keep its own separate Mileage count. You do not retire the mileage system. The system recently introduced for limited recruits (e.g. the seasonal reruns running now) where you earn dupes and a rebate on currency at certain recruit count milestones is very welcome and incentivizes rolling/spending too, so keep it complementary to the mileage system.

Finally you may consider making regular hero transcendence more impactful as to incentivize rolling for dupes. Players that abstain would still be able to acquire dupes for free by waiting, while others my opt to go for that edge on release. The hero should remain performant even at base as expected.

What this all ultimately attains is a healthy environment for both the users and the business where players are more incentivized to spend resources and money for regular heroes and preventing currency hoard and devaluation issues, all which directly or indirectly hurt revenue, while simultaneously keeping the game in good standing with the community that appreciates and relies on the game's reputation of being free player and casual spender friendly, riding on the back of sincere and committed developers and staff.

This same feedback, albeit in a way more brief fashion, I gave some time ago, and the response I got here was that the very topics of altering the business model, the gacha and the mileage were all rather delicate (taboo even) and hard to bring up to the table for discussing. And yet here we are, facing some of the worst scenarios possible, in a strong-handed fashion, amid a takeover, with next to no notice and vague details, that would pose likely irreversible changes, and nearly universally panned by everyone that understood what it actually does. There is no real upside to this and it looks like a money grab that you could expect as an act of desperation to recoup investment in a failing business, not a sound choice for the better by capitalizing our strengths and Outerplane's hard-earned reputation.

So I sincerely beg you to put the announced upcoming changes to recruitment and mileage on hold and consider these suggestions as an alternative that I believe would be ultimately harmless, acceptable by most of the player base, and better for the health of the game, financially or otherwise, both short and long term.

Hello, this is MajorNine.

Today, after discussing the matter with Producer Munsu, we have decided to move the gacha system update to sometime in July. The reasons are as follows:
1. Late notice of a major change
Regarding important changes — particularly those related to the gacha and in-game currency — our notice came too late, and we were unable to provide sufficient details. This was clearly a misstep, even by general industry standards.

2. Lack of detailed explanation
Beyond the delayed notice itself, we left the detailed contents without proper explanation and made it difficult to confirm information, which only added to the confusion for our players.
For these two reasons, we determined that more accurate advance notice and a detailed explanation of the changes were necessary. After discussing with Producer Munsu, we have decided that — even if it means postponing the update — we will first proceed with a version that excludes the character gacha system, conduct another round of review, and then apply the update. As a result, the update originally scheduled for June 30 will be somewhat delayed, and we sincerely ask for your understanding.

We will also share an announcement regarding this matter through our official channels on Monday.
As for the detailed changes to the gacha system, we plan to prepare thorough explanatory materials and provide them as advance notice during next week. We will follow up on this separately.

Core Fusion (aka retrofits) is such a cool idea but also like walking a tightrope, in no small part because all that work could go to a new character (alt) instead. I don't say abandon existing characters that don't perform (I want to use them after all) but perhaps a better (as in more affordable) approach is to rebalance them without redoing the assets, and if you want to gate some of it behind resources (CF materials here) then you may do it as a new exclusive equipment instead (this is what othergame does). Considering VAgames has secured funding rounds from major investors, including Kakao Ventures, Com2uS, and Atinum Investment. Plus outerplane was VAgames flagship title. The shareholders will obviously not be happy with the news.

I hope he reviews the feedback on addressing the regular hero gacha model which is the real core issue ailing revenue, because something indeed needs to be done but it must be something good and not removing mileage and forcing a worse model that would only fatally hurt the game.

There's NIKKE. You don't need dupes there though, but if you want that lobby you can also buy them with mileage if you have to. That's one extremely successful game we should copy the good things from. The dark side of that game is that they almost never do reruns and when they do it's for rare/limited characters only, ironically standard characters might be harder to obtain later if you weren't there in the original run and there's no permanent mileage shop for them (there's only one for dupes and only for the launch roster).

The other game that comes to mind where you can actually get everything consistently and as F2P is Azur Lane. Please copy the sexo skins/interactions.
