But where it really kinda shines is 63214. 720s I find kinda hard but I also find them impossible on pad still because I am fucking ass, but I can see the argument. If my keyboard had massive ass, wide buttons and only a small number of them I'd probably use it over pad.

I tried playing Blazblue last year for a while and it was really fun but holy shit I wish I wasn't fucking terrible at this genre. Went into a beginners lobby for a while and STILL went through a 100 game loss streak. Also, meter gain is so ridiculous that there isn't really a whole lot of nuance when it comes to choosing whether to spend or not on offense. Izumi, the latest DLC character, also was privileged in a way that puts all the game's flaws on full display. It's still a really cool game to spectate, but playing it is a slog rn, and I play Type Lumina (which has some similar issues regarding resource management, or the lack thereof). If you're just starting out, those issues probably won't impact you that much tbqh. If the humble bundle would be a good value for you, I wouldn't let that get in the way of getting started. Memes aside, I believe in fpan.

I do really like Amane and will probably keep trying to play him, but I think giving some other characters a chance won't hurt either to see how they play. I feel like a lot of my issues stem from just fundamentally no being good at playing fighting games anyway. Hard for me to stop my opponent from being able to just use me as a punching bag, I think I get I understand the theory behind defence with mids, lows, overheads and grabs all being things I need to look out for but there are just so many characters it's hard for me to be able to tell who's going to do what and when.

When I first picked up the game I picked Nine first but I think I fought him in the weird roguelike mode and thought his fighting style looked cool, and the deep dude voice made me do a double take. Trap type characters basically never go for this fruity gay man style they almost always opt for the safe draw a girl but call it a boy trope (see Guilty Gear) and that makes me appreciate him. I also really like drills as weapons (TTGL and Zeroranger are to blame) and the way he bounces around the field is satisfying.
