It's a pattern that's been killing private server communities for years.The core problem is that /wpsg/ players are intensely tribal about their server of choice, so when a rival server gains traction they'll report it to Blizzard's legal team out of spite. When players do it they're just accelerating the process and shrinking the already small pool of available servers for everyone, including themselves.You saw it in the thread — people casually mentioning they reported Capycraft, Tauri, Chromiecraft. It's treated like a prank or a power move but the end result is fewer places to play.There's also the internal community destruction side of it. The constant drama, the server tribalism, the moderator wars, the trans discourse flooding world chat — all of it drives away the more casual players who just want to log in and do dungeons. Those are exactly the players a small private server needs to survive.
