As in, if it feel more natural to progress from 1 to 5 (base 20), or its better to spread it out from 1 to 25 (base 100). For exemple, you couldnt really balance an extensive mmo like WoW on just 20 levels, as each level up would effectively equate to a migration to new territories as to not waste your time, which would get both annoying and boring fast, and break immersion. Just the same that a game like bg3 would feel ridiculous if you had to level up after every fight. And there are ways to apply it awfully too, like skyrim which 100 lvl system feel like a grind because you have to repeat the same thing ten thousand times. So all in all, it depend on the gameplay and how its implemented, and if it fit the context its meant to represent with fidelity.

Especially since it directly contrasted Orin's brash anarchy and Ketheric's universal misanthropy. They covered three of the classic villain archetypes and put them in a room and said work together which went about as well as you would expect lol.bg3's narrative does have issues, but it's not as bad as people like to repeat here. The broad strokes make fine sense.But let's ignore the timeline of events of Balduran's life....
