Part 1 is fire, absolute peak Tails. Parts 2 and 3 are still good, but for different reasons that require investment in the characters and premise. Unlike many other X continuations, it doesn't concern itself with adapting games like season 2 did and focuses on original storytelling.

Sonic X epsiode 1 does an amazing job of understanding how to apply Sonic's character.Sonic is in a new situation and he is just doing his thing, and the world does most of the responding and reacting to HIM.Sonic has an attitude, but what that means and how it is expressed is based on his body language and how people react to him.
