Been thinking about AU stuff for a bit. Basically, in the aborted Weird route, Kris opens up the flower dark world , but since Kris is both emotionally and physically exhausted by what happened at the lake, they pass out in the flower shop. Flowery finds Kris in their near death state and takes them back to the flower castle to rest, with the flowers trying their best to heal or at the very least entertain a broken Kris. Flowery doesnt tell Asgore about Kris because he fears both the premature end of the flowers dreams and what will happen to Kris if they leave the darkworld without their soul. Kris themselves is too weak to do much of anything adventurous or evil group chat related, the prince of flowers stuck in asylum

Remember that Kris and Susie bleed in the dark world, and then get healed in it and are not mentioned to be bleeding in the light world. Or even just that Kris getting healed in the Dark World transfers over to the Light World, you can test that in chapter 5 he starts with 16/20 HP. It might not cure him of his cancer, but its not out of the question
