I have Shams as a frontliner leap towards enemy backlines and do strike backs, Heshan as a midliner doing either heals/crit buffs or piercing/infection, and Shahnaz as a backliner with AOE nukes. Shahnaz also has great longer term utility besides AOE nuking with her ability to rearrange other unit's positions. I haven't gotten the chance to full dig into her kit yet, but it seems like a lot of fun and has the potential to open up a lot of new play styles.

I also like nearly every character design (which surprised me because I'm extremely picky about character designs in general, I'm very hard to please). When I tried the gacha itself I was pleasantly surprised by the rates, it didn't feel like a "save for X and sacrifice the rest" game, I just pulled on nearly every banner and got as many characters in a few months after starting SoC than I got in GI after playing it for 1,5 years. I think Night Crimson sealed the deal for me because I liked the story very much.
