This game has been on a steady decline in quality in almost every regard post demo release. Two of the seven planned chapters have been mostly filler content and party game gimmicks instead of developing upon the shmup+rpg amalgam that defines this and it's predecessor Undertale. Even if the final two chapters are inarguable masterpieces, and given what's been presented so far I highly doubt that they will be, you would have to slog through the rest of the game to experience them.It also, despite asking the player for precise movements and timing in combat, is locked at 30 fps, creating an obnoxious amount of input delay. It makes it much more difficult and inconsistent getting critical attacks when I have to time my z press some ambiguous chunk of time before the actual critical zone outline overlaps with the indicator. Your control of your hitbox is kneecapped to some degree when dodging bullets as well. You can only move in 4 pixel increments due to the 30fps limitation when we could potentially have pixel perfect control over the player character, which is standard for shmups. Granted, not even the hardest fights in this game are challenging enough for the issue to make the game unplayable, but this technical issue greatly hampers my ability to enjoy/appreciate the game.Another large issue I have with the game is that the dev is asking 25 bucks for an unfinished product, which is NOT marked as early access, and has multiple instances of obnoxious, unfunny, immersion breaking plush toy product placement. This is either very poorly considered or is beyond greed.I would recommend playing the demo with a 60fps mod for the best experience. Maybe play the alt path of the second chapter if you're absolutely dying for more, as after that point on the game starts a depressing slow downward slope in quality that I don't see it being able to recover from at this point.
