Did figure out that sos2 was indeed just being buggy and it was not user error. Started another save and made several colonies with a small starport in each. Idk what it is but my MC is just slayin ratkin pussy every time he’s off screen. He takes good care of his ratkin waifus on the stealth corvette.Idk how combat works yet in sos2. Had enough point defense to deal with most torpedoes but felt like my ship couldnt hit anything in optimal weapons range with the large green lasers at medium range. The ai just pisses me off so much that it makes me invoke divine intervention them spamming vaporize explosions. because its not fair and saw a youtube video on it that introduced the larger weapon hardpoints. All of the default ships all assume you’re using god mode anyway and often had 2-3 times more weapons somehow in “sardine can” ships consisting of a lot of rooms 2-3 tiles long.

Single Dad Mechanitor update Year 1Starting in an "Ice Oasis" isn't as nice as it sounds when the temperature barely reaches 40F during the summer and drops to -70 during the winter. Managed to survive the first year but it's apparent the storyteller has been trying to fuck us over on food. Thankfully nutrient paste tastes the same no matter what's in it so we didn't have to dip into the emergency rations. Trying to save as many of those as possible for expeditions once things are more stable. Growing rice turned out to be less lucrative than expected as well, since a couple extra cold nights cost us half the harvest. Tried replanting but what's left probably won't survive long enough to pick, though now that we can build geothermal power getting a greenhouse up and running should be easy. Pressganged a transport pod pigger into digging out some of the rock in the lab over the winter, but he was a piece of shit who kept going on food binges that put us in this position so he got thrown out as soon as he dug out all the visible steel nodes. Also managed to down the Diabolus so we can finally gestate a mining mech who won't be such a fatass. Holden is a fucking brat who won't stop trading slights and insults with Rob, but a housekeeper Felyne showed up so at least she doesn't have to clean the floors all by herself anymore. This one is about 30% smaller than the last one so it has a lot less growing fields, but it does have a inner keep to fall back on in case the outerwall falls (which happened to the last castle). At growth tier 8 you get to pick three passions and one trait from 6 choices each, which drastically increases the odds you'll get good choices. Children are absolutely worth it if you can tolerate the wait.

Yesterday I created some custom xenotypes with hemogenic stuff but without archite capsules mainly to test ways to abuse long jump.And I've been doing tests since then.And holy shit Tynan should rebalance piercing spine because it has utter garbage ass utility even in early game.Ranged pawns can fuck off from melee using long jump so no need to use piercing spine.Melee pawn walking to melee enemy? Acid spew is more useful, and also easier to use due to range.Melee pawn jumping to gank on a dude? Piercing spine does less than a melee attack (which costs nothing), and even less if you add strong melee attack gene.
