I think the reason why we have the chapter system as it is set up is to allow the weird route to skip a chapter.This is important because the game has the ability to be started at any chapter with choices in previous chapters being made for you. The prophecy is enacted whether you are there or not. So by going from chapter 5 to 7, and skipping 6, Noelle and Kris are resetting their file in a way. It will be as if we have launched a fresh save file at chapter 7 but the only thing we carry over is Kris, Noelle, and the thorn ring.I don't know why this is important but it will explain how Susie and Ralsei will be able to enact the prophecy while we are gone for nearly 2 chapters. They won't be the same Susie or Ralsei we left in chapter 5.
