I played a little bit of a few Key games but none could ever keep my attention. but they FELT like quintessential slice of life and I figured there was nothing truly wrong with them, and I probably just had issues with slower paced stuff.I just started White Album 2 though and this is immediately way more gripping. The heroines actions and thoughts don't feel like a natural progression of cause and effect but rather plot devices to fit harukis mold. Basically it feels very fake and outlandish, not to mention how the story is fractured into multiple pieces so you have to go on a wild goose chase to read everything relevant instead of it being wrapped up neatly in a single package. The side heroines felt like pointless distractions from the whole kazusa and setsuna love triangle as well.
