They have a very specific way of playing and that very specific way of play style got nerfed hard in wh3. So they are not fun unless you want to doomstack, corner camp and cheese the ai.

That's understandable, but how come you have difficulties with Thorek? Dwarfs campaign mobility are great for lustria because of underway stance and your economy is pretty strong. Just don't craft any of the artifacts too early and build your armies or you'll spawn the scripted enemy armies. Otherwise, just lower the campaign difficulty.

That's the general direction you should be going, all the way to the tip of southern Lustria then swing north. After consolidating your forces against the first Skaven clan, preferably with enough artillery, you should be able to win easily against the small lizard faction just before meeting Lord Skrolk otherwise just bait him into an ambush using a smaller army. And what does your army look like?

My army is fine I rarely lose any units but ikit and nakai and half of the time high elves also declare on me before too long on together with that lizardmen faction in argentina. The problem is that enemies are coming from the northen entrance of my mountains and sometmies I get ganged up by 3 armies so I have to retreat and recoup while any eastern setltements are lost and I dont have the gold to upkeep 2 armies yet. Pretty weird Nakai still alive, and for Teclis usually it's pretty safe to be friendly with him or at least sign a Non-Aggression Pact and offer to join wars against the rats, the AI will not help you but it can buy time until you can backstab him. And at what turn were you usually able to reach Lord Skrolk at the south?

Miners w/ blasting charges are pretty good but you shouldn't bring more than 4 units, then you better just use the regular warriors instead because they're cheaper and your DPS will come from your missile units/artilerry anyway so 5/6 units should be enough, then 4 artillery should be the minimum just don't forget to craft the exploding runes for the catapults.

Only way to get any reaction from units from ranged damage is from spells like vortex/breath attacks, large projectiles from artillery or flying units doing a "flinching" animation if they get attacked while stationary mid air.

Limitation is good. Tetris would be shit if the player could just choose any piece they want at any time. The game of chess works because each piece is restricted in how it can move.

there are like 30+ RoR i think u can recruit tho, and replenishing them is easy if you just build a merc outpost in the city you can replenish at any city with a merc outpost, which is cheap and ez to build
basically heavily incentivizing you to use tons of merc units as DoW, easier replenishment for stronger units, the same way they made skaven cleverly feel like a horde faction by making their units complete dogshit (cept artillery lol) but insanely cheap, so even if u lose a battle against a strong enemy stack, you just used a stack costing 20% of his to kill half of his, and he won't magically replenish the lost troops, the next stack will prob finish him off, its a legit well crafted mod from what ive seen so far

I have many fond memories of TK campaigns where instead of having 19 necrosphinx or 19 max lvl princes I had to rely on my skellies to hold the line while mopping up hundreds of orcs with chariots, it's fun, it makes you appreciate the lower tier units, instead of ignoring them because there's no reason to use them, the no upkeep thing is a bad incentive because WH3 is just so uhhh arcade-y that upkeep is irrelevant, you can field a ton of armies very soon regardless, basically what the game really needs is slower paced campaigns I'd say, especially ones with slow buildup, have u ever played and won with roman empire on attila? now that's satisfying, think these campaigns can coexist just fine with the ones we have rn too

You start with a t2 barracks on every ogre faction so you should only be recruiting dual weapon ogre bulls or ironfists. The first turn should be spent funneling all your meat into the camp to start the t3 upgrade
