You can get by with basically any sentinel but Diriga is a popular choice.Beast companions got a big buff a while back, they now have moddable claws with ridiculous damage; they also got some new mods e.g. 18% chance to double resource pickups. One meta choice is panzer vulpaphyla because it stays active even while downed. There are also robotic hounds you can build with funky unique abilities.
