After playing Shadgens again I have to admit.The control feel kind of off for me mainly turning, Shadow truns lanes very quickly and feel weird when you have your own side step kind of invalidates when you can turns side to side so quickly on your ownI think something that makes platforming in sonic suck is that unlike Mario Sonic only has two real ways to taverse platforms, like jumping and a double jump. While Mario has long jump, spin jump, jumps that get hgher if you time them perfectly in succession. It keeps more varied while sonic it's very bare bones.I think the best sultion would be to give Sonic his bounce(SA2 Version everything else sucked much ass) it fits in line with Sonic's design and allows you to blow past platforms quickly without stopping, but obviously increases the risk of falling off if you aren't careful.I think an issue with Frontiers Style as a whole is it feels like a lot of Sonic/Shadows moves don't actually work together, while in Adventure your air dashes, jumps, homing attacks, bounces, light speed moves all can flow into each other fairly easily.Not helped by the physics being kind of wack with air drag, getting your ass off the ground feels very painful every time and unnatural, the game also doesn't really require to use shadow's full moveset or just rarely, outside of modded stage I don't remember if I need to slide ever.Even unleashed had better flow into it's moveset with everything being this high paced obstacle course, You boost into a slide and quick step constantly.Shadgens just feels like I'm boosting and homing attacking most of the time with some chaos spears.I like a lot of the mechanics shadgens has but I don't think it ever really fully utilizes everything and I can't help but be disappointed.Also boost is slow as hell, might as well not even have meter it's just a run button from Lost World.the dust has settled I still prefer SA2 & Unleashed, but the story was good in SXSG
