I think it takes a while for new characters to be added to the spreadsheet. You can technically see in game what people are using on him, go to d-zone any wave, alert 5 and click on the "Record" button and pick Pontos in the filter to see only clears involving him. This is not ideal because a lot of the alert 5 clears will be whales with AAs but it's the best we got.

It was literal BiS even over +12 limited wheels for six DPS one after another from Towel through Mouchette (Tawil, GHelot, Corposant, Kath, Pollux, GMurphy, Mouchette). His most straightforward team is Thais + Doresain/Sorel. Pickman rouse is mandatory always rouse him first.

425'ers sometimes split up Pickman and Thais but at E0 you wont want to do that. Thais is wildly beneficial for him specifically and not in the circlejerk le thais is good for everyone way because chromophages keep buffing themselves as you play them, you get more embryo fusion as you play them due to Pickman rouse, and you get more creatvity stacks as you play them.

You can see Thais+Pickman used to support lots of units tho, because generating 1000 temp str in a turn is useful, but Doresain is ez to manage.

My favorite part about it is that there's no rock-paper-scissors element balancing, and the different realms are defined by their unique mechanics rather than just being a color that's stronger against another color. Combat rules are more similar to those from Slay the Spire as mentioned, so all your characters share one HP bar. Targeting is kinda like in 1999 where skills will target the enemy in the front usually, or certain targets according to the skill's effect (lowest/highest HP, enemy in the back, random enemy, etc). Progression in Morimens is more timegated instead of super grindy like in 1999 and imo the endgame is much better designed. 1999 has much better events however since we don't even get fun minigames. And although the artstyle is good, it's a game with a much smaller budget, so the animations and sprites are simpler than those from 1999 and character cards don't have unique illustrations.

I think minigames in the genre are overrated. I genuinely think the only minigames I've ever enjoyed in the genre were Wuwa's Battleship board and NTE's mario kart.

I've been meaning to play Tinct with Mouchette, since Tinct's exalt can basically guarantee Mouche can activate all of her pursuits whenever you need to burst. Tinct's OE is even better for the team. Might throw in Cassiah for even more strike synergy (with Telekinesis).

if you annihilate every turn you're at +1 draw +1 arithmetica over every other realm which is a pretty big benefit for basically no effort

Okay, so pairing Mouchette and Tinct didn't work so well in the current Dtide A5s. Maybe I'm just shit or don't know how to build a good Moosh team, but enemy damage this Dtide is too high for me to cope with just Ultra/Chaos. I almost never had time to use Tinct's rouse, especially when Mouchette's is so important for her damage while also to defending against the 1400-1600 damage turns. But besides those main two, Castor is of course great, but I had some success with Erika, too. Her temp Alert stacks boist Castor's passive shield buildup from his plumes and SR wheel, and Tinct's defense card activates twice by default, applying the Alert twice. Erika being a decent keyflare bot also helps get rouses out faster, but Mythag Insignia is pretty essential for the team to function.

Also, Erika's image relic is really good, why the fuck didn't I know about this until now?

It's a bit above average in terms of difficulty, but you can clear the story and get the essential rewards from endgame content just fine while being f2p. Just be aware that a good portion of your progression is timegated and can't be sped up unless you swipe. Side and endgame content have different difficulty levels and you can just stick to what's comfy for you like D-Tide Alert 3 instead of doing A4 or A5 for example.
