This is probably retarded to admit on here but it is kind of sad to see that the mismanaging of Sonic and Sally's relationship was completely intentional. It puts a sour taste in my mouth. Sonic Adventure was a direct sequel like any other main series game up to that point, not an attempt to create a separate brand or different iteration of the character. They simply made some changes to the character's look as they had done multiple times up to that point. The stagnation of the current Classic/Modern split's character models isn't what was happening in the 90s at all.
