Chapter 5 clarifying that Asgore was only just doing conspiracy shit retroactively clears him and Carol of suspicion because of two conversations in chapter 4, the one between Toriel and Rudy, and Asgore talking to Kris outside of the Holiday house that explain Carol supports Asgore’s investigation. Carol’s skills with the katana then in turn can be explained not as a red herring but rather indirectly showing Dessknight’s sword techniques as a form of skill inheritance.

The waiting room song from the piano playlist in chapter 4 makes sense for both the hospital or town hall, but not the Holiday mansion. Given the reference to the mayor keeping the AC down all the way and the ice palace references Town Hall should be considered a viable Dark World location for chapter 6. Rudy is shown stringing lights up in front of it in both weird and normal routes and could’ve been brought in there after falling down.
