Ok, so I've tested new Assetto Corsa Evo patch - 0.8Holy shit, they fixed VR performance, it's like 2x-3x faster now.In low pop servers, on a small track I'm actually getting stable, silky smooth 90 FPS at 3000x3000 per eye. In 42 person Nordshleife I get stable 45 FPS. On Ryzen 5800x3d and Nvidia 5090. 5070-5080 should be able to get stable 45 FPS at these settings at low population servers.Funny enough NONE of the graphical settings except of the render resolution have ANY effect on performance, foveated rendering included, I didn't go super high on the settings but swapping from low to medium has litterally ZERO effect on frametimes, even the mirrors. Maybe you need to restart the game for it to fully have any effect? But I do see the settings changing how the game looks.They also added a VR resolution slider in game, so even if the game doesn't listen to SteamVR resolution changes, you can change your resolution on the fly.3k x 3k with 2X MSAA look so much better, I had to run at 2k x 2k per eye before or less to get stable 45 before.

Make a good game first, then make it VR. Your interaction with the world is with your player camera and with the gun so in essence, everything but the morph ball is a vr interaction. Something that bothers me a little is that the lock-one mode is so integral to fights that you're forced to use it. It works fine in VR but it'd be nice to have a greater VR integration, like you lock on but your view doesn't move to the lockon position. Maybe I submit an issue, the dude is releasing updates every couple days and it's gotten way better in just a couple weeks.

I tried a bunch of different settings and USB arrangements only to remember that the issues only really started after I installed a pair of smart bulbs in my play space. I swapped them out and the issues stopped. RF interference is no joke, especially if you live in an apartment complex
