This was such a depressing moment and when I saw that dialogue line "Reed's on his way", I bursted out laughing. The only thing that Reed actually did was suck NUSA cock. His entire character is just being "a loyal to the cause glowie" who is ready to sell out not just his friends but even himself for the sake of the mission. This was bad dialogue line to say to someone like Songbird. Reed is the reason for all of her suffering, he was the one who recruited her. I chose dialogue 2 because of the lols. But there's no going around the fact that an overwhelming amount of perks, cyberware, and tools are meant to accelerate you and fuel the power fantasy. You can at least acknowledge that, right? V is an experienced mercenary packing tons of cyberware and tools. V is going to move like a Heywood ninja and be nothing but a blur to her enemies. V isn't some standard operator. It's a high-risk, high-reward approach, and I quite enjoy it. Deafening a few gonks, jump-dashing over them only to land on someone's head behind them. Creating distractions and various mayhem while remaining unseen but not always unnoticed. It's also rewarding to fully ghost gigs, never so much as make a sound, and reap all the stealthrunner rewards. And getting better at going faster is what keeps me in this style. It functions a bit like MGSV in that regard. My difficulty resides in the fact that I'm extremely weak in combat. My combat nerve rate is really high and it takes 1-4 bullets on average to kill me. That's my punishment for failing to stay sneaky. On top of that, I'm dealing with crippling addictions. But when push comes to shove, I'm combat capable. As long as I don't give anyone time to properly point their barrel at me, I can push through some harrowing shit. I never savescum for failing stealth, only upon death.

I loved the cyberpunk theme and thought that the gameplay, setting, visuals, and sound design were all great, but I couldn't sit back and enjoy any of it because there were players who'd sunk 10k hours into other extraction shooters, and even if you play slow and methodically, you're still on a timer.

Ok so Ghost in the Shell, the 2017 film, is COOL. The CGI has aged, as it inevitably does, but it holds up because of style and visual direction. I'm kinda shocked how much visual language the film and Cyberpunk 2077 shares; i'm sitting here staring at the screen going "I seen that! I seen that!". You can see in damn near everything, from architecture to vehicles to weapons to the medical devices and to the streets. Overall very cool visually. The script is kinda rough. I think the actors are fine, the overall writing just needed a month or two more. It's really really heavy-handed, and it feels like it doesn't trust the viewer to "get it". The movie is most comfortable in it's action sequences. I'm not super familiar with the anime & manga GitS, so I can't really speak as to how they compare, but as a standalone complex thing, I think the movie is pretty coool. It's a gem if you can forgive it's at times silly writing. I appreciate body suits.
