I don't recommend the official servers at all, and I'm not sure how they'll handle wipes going forward. Either play with your friends or play with your pals here if you're going to do multiplayer, it's a fresh start after all. Can always export any pals you've grown attached to to your solo world later

The name of the game is automation when it comes to the crafting. Set up near a small amount of trees and a grey stone and you'll have a good noob base to start. From here you need to gather your workforce, so:1. Capture a bit of everyone you can, learn what your Pals can do2. Basic progression after the beds is berry farms -> food box -> mining & lumber.3. For berry farms look for a water pal, a grass pal, and some kind of handworking pal. Pals with what look like hands generally have handiwork. Pig is the easiest early game miner to find, deer is the same for lumber. You can find alternatives if you explore.4. Once you base has 5-6 pals of those types you should be out exploring when not crafting new buildings or gear for the most part. Look around, do quests, check caves.5. Finally, you'll want a mount ASAP and it just improves everything. Early game mounts are the pig, deer, and wolf.Other than that, follow the general tutorial guidelines. It doesn't really explain shit but it does put you on the right path.

The zweihander/GS/First sword weapon feels good to use compared to the rubber bats and the pokey sticks (spears). It also has 3 combo hits while the bat and spear is just one animation repeating

I always build pal beds under a roof no matter how much time and resources it takes. It may be an open-sided barn for the giants to easily get in but it will never not be out in the open. I invited my pals to be a part of Civilization, they will live like they are in Civilization.

Well I managed to catch a Mimog. It ran over lava to drain its health to about a third and then hit a dead end where I could catch up and toss spheres at it.It doesn't do a whole lot, does it?I also tried to catch a Reptyro, but I died to something while the screen shook so much I had no clue what was going on.I also picked normal diff and now I'm extremely overleveled since I've been somewhat thorough with catching.

A palworld X dark and darker extraction monster catcher where you go into areas to catch pals and fight anyone you come across and try to make it out with the pals and loot, and you can't use any pals until you extract with them and the pals are permadead if you get rolled and in between expeditions you use loot to buff them up or breed them or trade.

I do like that they made these enemy faction bases more varied and showed us what you can do with some higher-density construction. I remember when the game first came out on early access, pals got stuck on stairs and in doorways so often that you had to avoid building structures for them to move around inside, because you'd end up with several pals stuck at all times. Seems like maybe they fixed that.
