You can "Deny the Witch" any time you see any chaos sorcery, but it's a spectrum, and only people who actually know what they're doing and have strong will/faith can actually unravel a spell. A normal person of simply above-average faith/will might be able to stave off the effects for some time or minor thing.

What level should I be to do the Hearless siege? I'm like 3 levels into the second archetype and playing on hard, just cleared footfall. I was able to cheese the ship battle with torpedos and the AI ship running out of gas or something. But that first big fight in the ship is kicking my ass. The sniper does 80-100% damage to everyone that's not Abelard. The regular gunners don't miss. I don't want a trauma before the boss fight but I remember that fight also being on the harder side.Should I do a planet like Kiava gamma and come back? Both of these are mistakes that harm your protectorate.I cannot think of any dogmatic choices that blow up like that. There is the choice with Nocturne that says rescue my friends because they are my soldiers, and he turns them into guns as a joke, but Iconoclast can actually walk into the same joke, that bad end cruel joke exists for both alignments.I wish there were more of this sort of thing. Personally I make sure to get tier 2 of every alignment because it unlocks dialogue options, colony buildings, talents, and equippable items.Mechanically you're incentivized to do that.You lose out on quite a bit if you stick to one or two alignments. You literally get no benefit from purity.
