My two cents is that effect copying as a whole is not the problem, the problem is how a card can effect copy. Neptune and SKSV can copy effects out of the GY which is all kinds of bullshit due to how easy it is to put shit in there which leads to all kinds of exploits and thus causes FTKs. Meanwhile Dark Panther does the same thing but he's limited to copying effects on the opponent's board and he's never caused any problems. The worst he ever did was punish the other player for recklessly leaving a DaD or JD on their board.
