This is also supposed to be the "last fun adventure," which is why it recapitulates/references Chapter 1 and Undertale a lot. We're saying farewell to what was there in the past and saying hello to something completely new. The adventures of Kris and Susie are ending, and the final tragedy draws near. Like this is just what the Chapter was about. The Flowers struggling against fate and choosing to live to the fullest even though they are fated to disappear one way or another just hammers this home even further. This Chapter was beautifully written
