So you get the short version. The cards are like equipment. They raise character stats - one big stat and then smaller boots to their substats. The different kinds of cards (sun/moon etc.) have different main stats they can boost. If you equip 4 cards of the same set together you get an extra effect. If you equip a Space card (which have their own types) with a set that pairs with that Space card you get a second effect on top. Every character wants different effects and thus sets, and while most generally want similar stats/substats that’s also variable between characters - so that said there’s no “meta set”. Every character wants different cards. At a base level - you can hit the “recommended set” button to see what kind of sets the game suggests for that character - which are like 85% the correct ones. For stats/substats - look at the characters stats by clicking the magnifying glass by their name in the main thieves menu. It’ll take you to that character’s stat page. There’ll be bars on the right that show the stats you should be upgrading for that character and whether it’s high enough or not. That’s a good general guidelineUse the event that’s going on right now and try to make some good cards for your 5*s, whoever they are. Space cards aren’t grindable but the other ones are - this event lets you make good ones and skip a chunk of grinding, especially when you’re already new and low on resources
