The way FFP is written in FNAF 1-4 feels really hard to square with the later story where it's treated as if they had a perfectly wholesome business that William "corrupted" with the murders.

Nothing can make me feel bad for Henry while his company is setting aside rooms for employees to bleed out inside of as Fredbear reenacts the outcome of the Emu War.

Absolutely nothing in the movie surprised me having listened to the novel trilogy years earlier

The games definitely feel like they satirize and lean into the the gross negligence or corporate capitalistic malice common in places like the USA, not unlike what Portal does. The book later justified this by virtue of one of the two founders essentially being a recluse who leaves most of the day-to-day operations to his "partner" who does unscrupulous deeds while he's in his private room tinkering. But they surely would as they did have gotten busted and shut down. But we already know all of this, as do we about how much purple guy (or Big Bill Afton in this case) tampered with things like the spring suits to have them achieve his goals.

Fazbear Entertainment feels kinda flanderized as time goes on. From FNAF 1 to 4 they feel more like a shitty local business that died out and was eventually only remembered in the true crime scene for being the place where five kids got killed. Sister Location and Pizzeria Simulator made it feel larger but it didn't feel too big. VR and onwards is where it felt outright like it was way too big to feel even remotely believable, especially when after Secret of the Mimic they've apparently always been this large and may not have even been made by Henry and William.
