It will help subtly tell the reader who's whoOther than that it's playing with hair styles and head/body shapes. I'm not sure I've even graduated to consistently different eye shapes yet. But all that stuff can help define a character's design.I dunno man, I can't really think at the moment. Most new designs or ocs just sort of pop into my head as a concept of a character, in a pose, and then I try to hold onto that mental image as I doodle it, with varying results. And then I use that image as a reference for the next one.

Like off the top of my head being how much Olivia hogs all the screen time away from other characters or Inco not being allowed more agency compared to Anon. How linear it is. But it's pretty clear they cut corners with it. Like in the document detailing Wani's development they straight up admitted the arcade scene was incredibly bloated and they spent too much time doing research or something to get the dialogue right. Even though the story would've been better without it. Yet they still kept it in.
