Then they want all the other pilgrims/overspec to be in a tier slightly below matis, like Counters. Story wise, Cloaked Crown is probably near Goddess level strength. That's right Rapi Red Hood is probably supposed to be weaker than BASE Snow White or Red Hood. The SW who barely beat Chatterbox who got single kicked by Red Rapi. It makes no sense based off of feats and powerscaling but I think Egg hood wanted to always keep the Goddess Squad as one of the strongest nikke in Lore, they are supposed to be legendary. It's kind of like Beerus in DBZ. Beerus uses 70% of his power (now retconned) to beat God goku. Goku becomes almost infinitely more powerful but is still weaker than Beerus. Logically Rapi ,and therefore anis, should have surpassed the Goddess Squad based off of the new heights of strength they have reached fighting new stronger enemies and obtaining new forms but no. Honestly, it makes no sense but this is closer to the scaling I always wanted in my serious grim dark nikke story. Old Tales and Goddess Squad up top. Matis as the best squad in the arc. And Counters not be the strongest in the arc. Honestly, I'd prefer if Counters were just average with maybe OG Rapi slightly more tactical/stronger. The only people should be able to fight the queen, heretics and high tier raptures are the best of the best nikke. Counters at most should just be support and their strength should just be having a big heart and not giving up. They should be winning fights by being brave and smart like Neon/Noah vs Whaley. Being a pilgrim should be an earned strength from surviving alone century/decades on the surface. I've never been happy with magical powers that are obtained instantly/within a short time like a deus ex machina. Even the smallest rapture should still be a threat to Counters.
